Shernaz Screwvala is an experienced Senior Chartered Physiotherapist and is a Clinical Specialist with over 20 years’ experience in Pelvic Health which includes Obstetric, Gynaecological and Urology conditions.
She belongs to the Association of Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy UK (POGP).
Shernaz specialises in treating gynaecological conditions such as incontinence of bladder and bowel, prolapse and pelvic pain. She is qualified to do Advance Manual Therapy for pelvic pain.
She will assess and treat the musculoskeletal problems that occur pre and post childbirth. i.e. low back pain, pelvic girdle pain symphysis pubis pain and diastasis/ divarication of recti (abdominal muscle separation)
She is able to offer an early comprehensive post-natal assessment of abdominals, back pelvic floor and pelvic problems including advice, treatments as required and progressive exercises to fitness.
Shernaz has recently completed a course on exercises for Bone Health (Osteopaenia and Osteoporosis). She will be able to give a regime of exercises to improve bone health after individual assessments
She is also a qualified Pilates instructor (APPI trained) and runs both individual Pilates sessions and classes locally.
